Free Halloween coloring pages for kids

Try a simple activity together

Color the friends arriving at the pumpkin patch, then color the pumpkins on their way to town. Talk about the colors and shapes you would choose for your own pumpkin.

1. Set up a coloring spot

   Put the pages and a small set of crayons or pencils on the table. Your child can choose one page to begin with instead of needing to finish both.

2. Choose a Halloween mood

   Ask whether the scene will be bright and cheerful, cozy at sunset, or full of make-believe colors. Let that choice guide the colors.

3. Make up a neighborhood detail

   On spare paper, draw a pumpkin decoration or a costume for a character who could visit the town. Talk about where that character would go first.

A younger child may like a grown-up to read the prompts. Follow their interest and stop when they are ready; the pages do not need to be finished in one sitting.

How to print these pages

Print at actual size on US Letter paper (8.5 x 11 inches). Black-and-white pages ready to color.

Open the downloaded PDF in your usual PDF reader. Select the pages you want and check the print preview before printing. If your printer clips an edge, use its fit-to-printable-area setting.
