Try the real first puzzle from My First School Word Searches. The small 6-by-6 grid contains four school words: BUS, BAG, DOOR, and FLAG. All four words run across to the right on this page, with a welcoming school scene to color afterward.

Find one school word together

Read the four words on the FIND & CHECK list together. Point to the bus, bag, door, and flag in the picture.
Choose one word and look for its first letter. Read to the right, staying in the same row.
Check all the letters, then circle the complete word and mark its checkbox.
Find another word or take a coloring break. Give the school scene colors of your own.

A small hint if you need one

Try FLAG first. Start with the first letter in the fourth row and read four letters to the right. Count rows from the top and columns from the left.

Check the original answer page

The second PDF page is the unaltered Answer Classroom page for puzzles 1–6. Answer 01, Hello, School!, is at the upper left and checks this sample. The other five solutions belong to later puzzles in the full book; they are preserved because this is an original page.

Move on when they are ready

There is no need to finish in one sitting. The full paperback includes 48 school-themed puzzles with pictures to color. Grids grow from 6 by 6 to 10 by 10; later words can run right or down, never backward or diagonally. All solutions are included. The 108 printed pages include opening pages, blank activity reverses, and eight answer pages.

Reveal the four answers

DOOR: row 5, columns 2–5, reading right.
FLAG: row 4, columns 1–4, reading right.

Print and enjoy

Print at actual size on US Letter paper (8.5 x 11 inches). Black-and-white interior; the original answer page uses gray highlighting.

Use the PDF viewer’s actual-size option. If your printer clips an edge, try fit to printable area. Crayons and colored pencils are good starting choices. Test markers first and place a protective sheet behind the page.
